This is in reference to me missing a `lemurfest' on my birthday. You need
to know this story to catch some inside jokes coming up.

Finally read the trip report! Great stuff, and I really appreciate
the toast! To satisfy your curiosity, at the time you made that toast
and were wondering where I was at the moment; I was in Chicago (normally
I am in Omaha NE). My sort-of girlfriend and one of her friends decided
it would be a good idea to haul me up there for a "Superchunk" concert.
Not being a HUGE fan (more like indifferent) of Superchunk, I was
skeptical at first, but when I realized I wouldn't be able to detour
them to North Carolina, I agreed to go since they said they would foot
the entire bill (never pass up anything free within reason). We really
cruised up there in record time (the driver has a new sporty car) and
so by the time you were toasting me, I was either in the Rock & Roll
McDonalds or the Hard Rock Cafe. I was much more impressed with the
Rock & Roll McDonalds than the H.R. Cafe. Bunch of posers as far as
I'm concerned. But the next time you're in Chicago, I recommend
visiting both; they're across the street from each other on Ontario
street. Anyhoo, then I went to the show in a real cool venue that
reminds me of Sokol Hall here (sorry, I guess that reference is lost
on you; trust me), but with a smart bar and all night dance-rave-fest
in the basement. I won't go into the sordid details of the rest of the
evening because what I am leading up to is what I am here to tell you about
anyway.
The next morning we were driving around looking for a place to eat
breakfast. {hold on some one is beeping me, I'll finish this in a
second}
