Travel Journals - Kemah, TX
September 4, 2006
My Mom's cousin runs a tour company in Kemah, so I went down there with Hana over Labor Day weekend. The tour company has a web page here. We did a two hour ride in the Gulf. Joe suggested we should come back another day when there is more wind. It was still a relaxing trip and we got some much needed sun before the end of summer.
Joe recommended a restaurant, in the opposite direction from the Boardwalk. Less tourists, he said. I ordered a tenderloin, and commented that it I couldn't remember the last time I had a steak that good. Hana pressed for information, wanting to know where I had a better one. I decided it could possibly have been the best steak I ever had, because I couldn't remember having a better one.
We stayed at The Seaside Inn, a bed and breakfast. The master suite there is amazing. We only stayed there because it was literally the last room available in town by the time we started planning our holiday weekend trip. I would stay there again, though.
We spent Sunday doing all the tourist things that made Joe's face pucker the day before. For me, the highlight of the day was feeding Stingrays at The Aquarium. The rest of the pages of this journal are film clips from there.
